Second Education Sector Development Project
Partnership between the Ministry of Education and the World Bank has been continued for almost 10 years. Second Education Sector Development Project is a second phase of education reform program that has been implemented by the Education Ministry and World Bank since 2003. The total budget of the project is 45.4 million US dollars. The 25 million of this amount are the credit from the International Development Association (World Bank), and 20.4 million have been budgeted by the Government of Azerbaijan. The purpose of the project is to improve the quality of education, learning results and increase the efficiency of spending. The project includes six components that encompassed three education levels. As in previous projects, departments and officials of the Ministry of Education are responsible for the execution of the Project.
